Little bits about me - New Year

I'm late participating in this blog meme, but thought it would be a fun way to share a bit more about myself each month.  Better late than never!

1.  Resolutions or No Resolutions?  - I set goals and love to dream!

2.  Love Snow or No Snow?  - I have a love for snow.  I love the pure white blanket it leaves on the ground.  I love watching it fall slowly to the ground and I especially love watching my girls make little snowmen and sled down our hill.

3.  Name a New Place you want to go this year. - I recently traveled to the Coastal Redwood Forest and would really love to go again.  It was amazing!  It's not a new place, but I can imagine that each and every visit would be a new experience.

4.  Would you rather have a New Hair Cut or Hair Color - hmm...maybe a little of both!  I'm growing out my bangs per a little contest with my girls and I'm starting to see the little grays popping up.

5.  Name One Special Thing you want to do for yourself this year.  - I want to get my home painted.  Both inside and out.

6.  Least favorite thing about January - I'm usually tired from the holidays and it seems there is still a lot going on in our family in January.

7.  Most favorite thing about January - It's winter!  I get to usually enjoy the season with blankets, a crackling fire, books and puzzles.  I also get to start with a new calendar, a blank slate of memories ahead.

8.  When do you take down your Holiday Decorations? -  I used to take them down on New Year's morning during the Rose Parade, but for the past two years, I have taken them down before the New Year and enjoyed the rest and a clean home on the 1st of the year.

9.  Do you diet in January?  - I have in the past, but I didn't this year.  I need to get back to healthier eating, though.

10.  What area of your home do you want to organize the most?  - ALL of it!  I am still on a huge purge of trying to clear out 50% of "things" that are cluttering my life and freedom to enjoy time with my family.  The hardest thing for me is books which takes up a huge amount of space in several rooms.  I really struggle to get rid of books - they are a treasure to me that I really wanted to bless my future generations with the words on these pages in this new digital era where ebooks are taking a lead.  I love the smell of books, the touch of the different paper, and the turning of pages.

11.  Favorite Winter Comfort Food - Freshly baked homemade bread hot out of the oven!

12.  Favorite Guilty Pleasure - This month has been Starbucks Chestnut Praline lattes with nonfat milk, topped with whipped cream.
